Alphonso Davies has already stepped away from the MLS playoffs and the Sounders to do a good deed, but who knows what his future project will be?

The 19-year-old signed with Bayern Munich in July, but doesn’t have a contract at the highest level. However, the Canadian playmaker has a few ideas and has started a new initiative, Shout NFT.

“I came from the Shout NFT club (one of the websites of MLS players spotlighting MLS talent to MLS clubs) after I was so proud of myself and wanted to do something to show my gratitude to the Sounders,” Davies told The Province. “I plan to go out and sell the MLS to young Canadians and show them what they can achieve by playing the game. I want to raise awareness for MLS.”

Davies intends to walk across Canada in the fall of 2015, with the goal of being in Ottawa by March. The final phase will consist of the long hike in New Zealand from Auckland to Whakatane, starting at the end of March 2016.

What other “hidden talent” NFL and NHL players plan to accomplish before their journeys take them to the Super Bowl remains to be seen. You can go to Davies’s Shout NFT site to learn more.
