Wendy Williams praises support from fans and says she’s ready to ‘fall in love’ after health scare
Wendy Williams has said she is grateful for the huge support she has received, and is looking to ‘put on a show’ with a big-name performance when she returns to the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The 23-year-old revealed that a health scare earlier this month was the reason behind her decision to withdraw from Celebrity Big Brother after originally going on the show in 2011, before winning it as a housemate later that year.
Williams said, ‘I had been feeling sick about the whole process of the house, and was really close to deciding to withdraw from the game.’
‘I got a cough for about a week after I moved into the house, and felt very tired and very weak,’ she said. ‘Then I had to go back to the doctor and they told me I had strep throat.’
Williams, from San Antonio, Texas, said, ‘I was really close and loved the game. If I had wanted to, I could have stayed. I could have played it to my full. But I feel like I was in it for the right reason.’

Williams, who will be joined on the upcoming series by her brother Lance, sister Christina, and mother, Janine, looked back on her experiences as a housemate
Williams added that she was grateful to all the fans who have supported her – including her mother, Janine, who took to Twitter to thank viewers for their support.
‘She was like “I hope you like what I’m gonna do, and I hope you like this show, and I hope you like this new record. It’s really a lot to me.” She was like, “That’s what I want to give you”. And I give her credit for that.’
