The man who raped former Juventus goalkeeper Romelu Lukaku during a trip to France has opened up for the first time about what exactly went on between him and the 18-year-old.
The 19-year-old claimed Romelu was obsessed with him and the pair often ‘laid’ it back at people in the pub, and claimed he forced himself on the teenager at a club bar.
However, Romelu insists he is innocent and is ‘absolutely not’ feeling anger or regret over his actions. Pictured, Juventus defender Lukaku celebrates his last goal for that club
The former France star was accused by a young girl at the time of his club’s Champions League win in 2010 following a match in Aix-en-Provence against Lens, the club he was then a member of.
The player claims he tried to kiss the little girl, who had become his girlfriend, on his first visit to the French capital during the week of the UEFA Champions League final in 2010 but claimed they were interrupted by a French club official.
Romelu, who was part of the French squad, said: ‘I kissed this girl. She was 18 and I was 24. We started a relationship and lived together. I never forced myself on her. It wasn’t in a club bar, it was a normal pub.’
When asked if he still had a close relationship with the girl, he replied: ‘Yes. She knows my family now but we still talk. We are close.’
According to Romelu, after they arrived back in England, a friend of one of his teammates at Liverpool asked him to visit the club, and before he could get past the door a French official stopped him.
Romelu also revealed he was drunk when he made the visit and was ‘in a state’ according to the club, but claims he never forced himself on a girl while intoxicated
